After how Shoemaker and Weaver just pitched, I just can't believe the Angels don't sign Lincecum.  We don't need him to be the ace he used to be, we just need him to be better than those two guys.

If Lincecum doesn't sign here, I would hope that we would start moving off some of the relievers that have value (Smith, Salas) for some starting pitching depth.   Some of the luster has come off of Zach Lee, for example. 

And, if you believe what you read, the Dodgers are looking for upgrades in the back end of their bullpen.

There are also Danks and Milone who are out there for the ML minimum.

At this point in his career Lincecum doesn't need the money and would probably want to sign with a team with a decent chance to make the post season.

And just who is going to deal us starting pitching depth in exchange for relievers nearing the end of their careers?
