Unfortunately we could have let Weaver continue to be the season opening pitcher and not have been any worse of than we are now. Even better because Richards could have pitched tomorrow against a lesser pitcher.

 

I wonder why we don't put our worst pitcher against the opponents best pitcher anyway. We have a good chance we will lose anyway, and we could use our best pitcher against one of their worst starters instead. Just a thought.

eh, 3 runs in 5 innings against the best pitcher in baseball is giving the game away.  He was facing the best lineup in baseball though so can't really knock him.
