What's crazy is the Ducks were advanced statistics outliers for the last few years; they always outperformed the predictors. Now, they completely flipped the switch.

Gibson and Perry were bad during the skills contest so it is nice to see them redeem themselves in the deciding game.

 

I didn't get to watch but I heard it was really fun to watch.

Gibson made some ridiculous saves. Gibby and Quick combine for the shutout, Perry scores the game winning goal, yet NBC doesn't interview a single one of them. Their biased reporting is beyond obvious. I understand Scott deserving the limelight, but these socal hockey players deserved a post-game interview. I hate NBC's coverage of hockey.

Nice showings from gibby and Corey last night. Ducks seem to be finding their stride a bit as of late, hope they can heat up and maybe make some noise in the playoffs.

Not a fan of splitting up Fowler and Despres, but it could be to get Despres back in to the swing of things.

I think it is to get Fowler back in the swing of things.  I bet that Fowler/Bieksa combination gets far fewer minutes than the other two pairings.

Well maybe Washington drops that game because they will have clinched the presidents trophy by 5 games before that & aren't as motivated to win since they already got presidents trophy locked up.

Yeah, and Despres is recently coming off an injury too maybe they don't want both recently returned from injury guys paired up yet.

I have to think it would be for Despres considering he missed over 40 games. Vatanen and Stoner generally get the easier assignments (even when taking BB's role three pairings all game strategy).

Also LA is beating Arizona 6-2....the Yotes are really falling apart all the sudden. Yotes come crashing back to earth.

Ducks have leap frogged over Vancouver in the standings with still 2 games in hand & now tied with Coyotes but 2 games in hand over them

 

Best possible scenario happend in that the Teams that are ahead of the Ducks in the wild card race the Wild, Avalanche & Predators all lost.

Gaining 2 points while keeping same games in hand over those 3 teams.

a nice win.  Freddy bailed them out a few times.  Sharks also got lucky that a few didn't go in.  Lindholm really blew that shot in 2nd period, that should have been a goal.  Can't complain too much about it with him getting the first one in though.  I thought the D didn't look great tonight over a few stretches but attribute that Fowler coming back and the break.  I'm sure they'll tighten that up.  Pretty good spot we find ourselves in with the Coyotes losing.

What a great win! I have been really impressed with Perron. 

 

Anybody else absolutely tilted by Silfverberg? He had 2-3 great opportunities roll of his stick and then he botched a clear on the PK towards the end of the game! So frustrating!

Huge win to end the Sharks 10 game point streak.  The Ducks are starting to play some pretty good hockey and are only getting better.  I sure wouldn't want to face them in the playoffs. Perron and Getzy seem to have instant chemistry.

Getzlaf holding the puck for 15 seconds during that 5 on 3 was something else though.  He also passed in a couple of golden shooting opportunities.  So tired of his shit.
