Awesome to see Getzlaf to Perry work again.  Gotta keep it going!

 

Getzlaf looks like a different player from the start of the season these last 2 games.  It makes no sense why even started the season with them knowing he was gonna have the appendix issue.  Its great to see the team string a few together for sure.

Dobby with a huge statement game! Way to rebound after his last start. Perry with a lot of solid chances. 4 in a row. Getzlaf had a few stupid ass passes to no one and one nearly led to the tying goal being scored. Dude needs to sack up and be more aggressive with the puck and putting it on net.

Getzlaf and Perry are really good players. But they're not HOF caliber players. No need to look beyond our power plays to see this. We must have about the worst goals/minute % for 5 on 3 in the league. We need a shooter BM.

I agree. I don't see the logic behind him being out there anymore than him being one of the first five in a shoot out. It's like Bruce is afraid to tell him,"know your roll."

The pisser is he's a beast when he's in the right frame of mind. But this being cute or over thinking when he should be speeding things up, too often kills our game. Someone needs to sit him down, show him tape of what type of player he is at his best and get on him EVERY time he's not playing that way.

Getzlaf has a little Vlad in his approach and its biting him and us in the rear.

Shitty ending to the game, sucks to give away a point of ours as well as give the Yotes 2 pts.  Gotta score on the 5 on 3 before ot, terrible play on Getzy's part in OT.  That said, I'm happy we have Getzy on the team and for 5 more years, not too many better players out there.

Getzlaf is an elite player, this was a mistake and stupid way to lose the game but not the reason we lost.  We lost because the team played horrific hockey in the 2nd period.  This is a thing going back the last 2 years.  Cannot take a period off and expect to have good results.  Also, right now this team is not getting any breaks in terms of scoring.  Kesler could have had a hat trick last night and somehow the great Lindback denied him.  Its just the way its going.  The shooting% is gonna eventually have some positive regression for us but that won't matter much if we keep constantly surrendering golden clean looks at our net in the slot.  Just way to many prime chances to score were given to the coyotes.
