ESPN did a chart of his calorie and carbohydrates intake one year, and it was insane. Surprised it doesn’t kill him to eat that much. How does your stomach have room for that much food? How could anyone eat more than 3 or 4 without having a reversal of fortune?

Meet the American who invented the electric guitar and inspired rock 'n' roll

Incendiary sound waves, shooting like fireworks off the strings of an electric guitar, have defined pop music around the world for nearly 70 years.

Credit Adolph Rickenbacker (1887-1976), a Swiss-born entrepreneur, for this wonder. He invented the electric guitar in California alongside partner George Beauchamp in the midst of the Great Depression of the 1930s.

The powerful new instrument inspired a uniquely American art form that grew to dominate global pop music culture.

Indiana University professor and instrument collector Nicholas Toth displays his circa-1934 Rickenbacker Frying Pan, the earliest electric guitar.

Electric car survey finds the biggest reason preventing people from buying them

The revelation emerged in a recent poll of around 8,000 people conducted by Consumer Reports, in which a combined 36% said they would "definitely" or "seriously consider" choosing an electric-only vehicle as their next auto purchase

When asked about the top concerns preventing them from making the jump from gas to electric, 61% cited charging logistics, followed by 55% saying the number of miles the vehicle can go per charge and 52% saying the costs of buying and maintaining an electric-only vehicle.

The U.S. Department of Energy reports that there are currently around 49,000 public charging stations across the country.

Sea lions chase away beachgoers at popular destination in viral video

Sea lions chase away beachgoers at popular destination

Two sea lions showed beachgoers in San Diego that life’s a beach after the animals chased away the sunbathers in a viral video taken on Friday.

Visitors were sent scampering over the sand at La Jolla Cove when one woman got too close to one of the local sea lions, Charlianne Yeyna, the witness who recorded the video, told FOX5 San Diego.

Yeyna said she started recording when she spotted the woman trying to take a photo of a sleeping sea lion. But the animal woke up, according to Yeyna, and began chasing the woman into a large crowd on the beach.

Been to La Jolla Cove many times and never got close to the sea lions. Why people feel the need to go to that beach when there are many others to go is beyond me. And then approach one and try to take a picture? This beach is for the sea lions.

Apparently the seals weren’t chasing people, one was chasing the other. According to an “expert”

Local news guy here said the seals were in a mating situation and the aggressive one was trying to defend his territory.
