Rockies bungle Tulowizki's (sic) night

The Colorado Rockies gave away 15,000 Troy Tulowitzki jerseys on Saturday at Coors Field. Problem was his name was misspelled on all of them. The club says that fans will be able to trade the jerseys, with the name TULOWIZKI on them, for ones with the correct spelling.

It's difficult, but when it's the marquis player on your team, you would think that someone in the front office would ask to see a sample before they printed 15,000 of them.

Yet it's amazing how many Yankees jerseys you see with player names on them, even though the club has never used them. Just this afternoon I watched a bit of the Jays-Yankees game and they showed a guy in the crowd with "DiMaggio - 5" on the back of his jersey. Saw a "Ruth - 3" jersey at the Big A last time out.

 

If it weren't for the cost, I would have a Yankees jersey with "Roidriguez - 13" on it, just to see how many people get it.
