Lineup and Gameday 3/20 vs. Royals

2 things stick out at me with this lineup:

1) MS has definitely changed his approach this spring; in years past the starters never would have gone to 2 travel games in a row.  I like that he's having them play more.

2) I think we can expect Aybar to leadoff some this season, which if it happens, I think is a dumb move.  I don't care who's pitching or which arm they're pitching with, Aybar should NEVER be the leadoff hitter.

MS said he just wanted to get Aybar more at bats from the right side.

Nothing else to talk about with regards to Aybar leading off.

Calhoun hits lefties better than righties.

I don't buy it re: Aybar, Chuck.  I hope I'm wrong, but we've seen in the past that MS can't resist putting Aybar at leadoff.

I'm fine with Aybar leading off when Calhoun sits. Otherwise, you have to move Trout up, move Freese or Howie to the 2 spot... Basically a lot of shuffling.

I think the lineup order is way over analyzed anyway.

In general I would agree, we all tend to over-analyze the lineup order.  However, when it comes to Aybar, I just think he's one of the least qualified leadoff hitters on the team and it frustrates me to no end that MS hits him there.
