I wouldn't mind seeing them take a run at Corey Hart. Veteran bat coming off some injuries who can probably be had for a reasonable price. Play a few games at the corner OF position, DH, and backup at 1b. He'd be a solid pickup.

Read that he had knee surgeries on both knees.  True?  Concern?

Wait till Infante signs, shop Kendrick.

Aybar.  I'd shop Aybar.  Teams that need a SS:

Boston (they are talking about Boegaerts to 3b and trading middlebrooks)

KC

Pittsburgh

Aybar to Boston for Lackey.  Sign Hart.  Wait till the end of the offseason and see who's left to help the pen.

If we don't shop anyone for trade and just focus on one more pitcher the team is ready for the season. Girardi yesterday said he was not concerned with having a DH simply because he can rest a regular once a week by slotting them as the DH.

It makes sense in many ways simply because there are very few guys that are competent at being a DH so why invest in a position in the batting order only with no greater reward.

Agreed....  It's not like DH's are the beasts they were in the 90s anyway -- they are now a .700 OPS hitter.   Grant Green, Shuck, Lucho, Cowgill, warm body #21 could all rotate through the DH spot depending on match-ups and the hot hand.   If they do sign someone to DH, I'd love for it to be a guy like Delmon Young to a 1 mil deal.
