Streaming Games Abroad

I'm vacationing in South Africa, and unfortunately a straight up insomniac right now.

Tonight's game starts at 1:00am local, and should end before I have to be 'up' at 4:00am.

I've got the MLB app on my phone, but it's wifi reception is way too spotty, however, my exceedingly not-updated iPod touch maintains connection like a champ.

How do I make this work?

I haven't seen a single TV since I landed, therefore, ESPN does not exist here.

Ah, and furthermore, I haven't paid for the MLB app in years for my phone, somehow it keeps updating. I'm not so lucky on other devices.
