His back was to home plate. He had to reach back. It was a high bouncer.

yeah no chance at home it was a chopper over his head...he had to drop back off the mound gather himself and luckily get the runner at 1st

Almost any hitting free agent would have done wonders for this lineup. Feels like it’s just a bat short. Same goes for the starters. A decent arm away.

It was a high bouncer behind the mound his momentum was going towards 2nd base.

He was the only one that could get an out of it.
