Starting pitching certainly has the biggest impact on a game.  We will see how this plays out tomorrow and see what impact Blanton and Wainwright have on the game.  Then we can talk.

Yeah, it's obvious that the starting pitching matchup plays a big part in determining what team will win the game. In the first game, Weaver pitched better than Lynn leading the Angels to a fairly easy win. In the second game, Williams had a terrible start and the Cards destroyed the Angels. Wainwright will have the big pitching advantage on the 4th. Even though Blanton's numbers are still terrible, he's been pitching well lately. Hopefully, Blanton can keep the game close and the offense is productive with runners on base.
