5 runs on 4 hits, 3 homers for Ohtani. He is only at 74 pitches though... it would be nice if he can go two more innings without giving up a run.

Ohtani is pitching for a team of which he has little rooting interest.

This must be affecting his concentration.

What’s with all the home runs given up by Ohtani lately? Is it just a stretch where he isn’t at his best or is it a particular pitch that is getting hammered? Something else? Some of you guys are great at digging through the statcast data to find a pattern. Someone do their magic.

He needs to go 8 with a 5 run cushion.

Ohtani has a 1-2-3 inning. Ohtani has also thrown 8 gopher balls in his past three starts. He's been working in some things.

Orioles are 26-14.  They're gonna battle, and those last 9 outs will not be lay downs.

Calling up Neto was such a good decision. I would like to see the same aggressive promotions for the pen at some point this season.

And that is exactly what he does. Nice. I'd maybe throw out Davidson and hope he can go for the 8th and 9th. If Baltimore scores or gets multiple base runners, adjust plans accordingly.

We need 1 more inning from Ohtani.  Even at 80% he's better than anything coming out of the Ken

Let's have the quasi managers on the board make the BP calls now instead of waiting to see what happens and then second guessing

Yes, outside of one appearance, he has been a great addition.

The other great thing about this game is that Baltimore has had to use 6 pitchers in game one of a four game series.
