Gubi referenced something I said recently.

The extra wear and tear on Ohtani physically. Something no other player faces. And he will have arm fatigue the next few days as well, but still be in the lineup and produce at an elite level.

What about mental stress? Pitching in a nailbiter where one mistake can cost the game. Having to have instant recall for every hitter, factor in scouting reports and adjust to game situations. Pitch by pitch. And then, switch mindsets and get into a hitting mode. Studying the opposing pitcher, taking his swings in the on deck circle and preparing for whatever situation that may come up. 

Then, reversing his mindset again on the mound. It's actually amazing how he maintains such a demanding, unique routine at the highest level both ways.

It was a great outing for Ohtani.

IMO he looked tired when he came up to hit in the 8th. Shouldn't have to send Ohtani up to hit after he pitches 8 innings.

Ohtani is a baller.  He wants to hit and play.  No way he would let himself be taken out.

Yea, it was one of those wins where replay ruined the call on the field in the moment.  If there was no chance of replay then the umpire’s call would have decided the game, assuming he made the right call.

They do a really good job with the fireworks.
