The Senate may dismiss articles of impeachment without holding a full trial or taking new evidence. Put another way, the Constitution does not impose on the Senate the duty to hold a trial,” Biden wrote at the time.

Imagine if the Republicans in the Senate just dismissed the Articles presented by the House, the uproar that would insue. Honestly I would love to have seen it just for the political meltdowns that would occur in the media.

And here.

So, did the Senate dismiss the articles during Clinton's impeachment trial? Jw

I wonder if Mitt would be okay with a disgruntled former staffer writing a book for millions of dollars testifying against him in his own impeachment trial.

Of course not.

At least he got impeached from CPAC.

Well no, he wouldn't, because he's a republican.

Also it doesn't matter what the President wants. Imagine if everyone being tried for a crime got to choose the witnesses. That would be pretty fucking awesome. Like sucking dick.

Did they not invite Susan Collins as well? Or does she get a pass because she faces a tough election in a purple state?

PS

I don't actually expect you to answer this, because all you do is post a stupid article like this once a month, and then hit the eject button.

The house had chosen and called their witnesses and rested their case.

Would you like to see videos of Lindsey Graham, and McConnell from that same trial?

Right, and those witnesses were enough for the House to vote to impeach the President, which they did.

They subpoenaed several people to come in as a witness during the House hearing. Every subpoena was ignored. Imagine not showing up for Jury Duty. A cop is at your house with an arrest warrant that very same day.

Nope. He is constitutionally correct.

So you agree with what he said? And I assume if that happened during the Clinton impeachment, you wouldn't have been bitching about it? Nor would any of your conservative relatives or friends?

No, they're not.
