According to mlb gameday, Richards clocked in as hot as 99.7 in that first inning. If that's right, not half bad. I feel like the guns can be a bit deceptive in spring, though.

GameDay seems to have gone to sleep. But the "feed" had a Fontana double that ties the game in the 9th, which GameDay does not seem to have reached yet. GameDay is just starting the ninth.

Richards worked 4 innings, threw 64 pitches (44 strikes) and didn't hurt himself. The three runs he gave up in the second did not make a pretty stat line. But  he looks healthy and his heater was nearing 100. Of course, he did that last spring as well. No reason to expect him to miss the next turn.

Is there something wrong with Maybin? Revere has started three straight games, even though Sosh stated last week that Maybin is his starting LF.

I would think there would be a desire to get your starter in there often, especially since he is still looking for his first hit of the spring.
