Maybe,  for one season. The snowpack is a concern if we get an early hot spring. Instead a slow run off you will see uncontrollable flooding. It happens in Montana every now and then where a productive winter for snowfall creates too much run off with an early spring. Dams not only get overloaded but the silt level muddies them up along with rivers and tributaries killing off the fish and flooding the valley. It can take months for it to clear out.
