A liberal looks at the election

Elections make people nuts. Last election cycle, a high school acquaintance (calling him a friend would be an exaggeration) claimed that I was violating his First Amendment rights by unfollowing him so that his political posts didn't appear on my wall. He never was the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I haven't unfriended or blocked anyone because of their political views - except for one guy who I went to college with, and I mistakenly believed that the passage of 35 years had to have matured him. He was a pain in the ass douche then, and apparently nothing has changed with age. He wasn't interested in discussing, only in insulting people whose views didn't parallel his.
