Nava with ANOTHER hit out of the two-spot. Hitting .611 currently. 

 

I gotta say, he's really surprising me this spring. I love his approach at the plate as he sees a lot of pitches and he doesn't seem to have problems hitting a good fastball, which he should see a lot hitting in front of Mike Trout.

I wonder if we're going to see a Choi/Cron platoon at DH. Cron doesn't seem to be hitting well this spring, most of which has been against righties. Meanwhile Choi has had the better spring of the two.

 

Looks like Choi is the better 1B defensively than Cron too.

You know everyone is saying this team is horrible but it really has to be better than last years team. Imagine having this bench last year? Let alone the production from Nava, he has looked great so far. I wouldn't be surprised to see Scioscia push this team to be way better than expected.

Caleb got his second hit today after getting very limited playing time at double down the LF line late in the game. Too bad he isn't getting more opportunities.

I caught the game off and on today and I have to say it looks like the Angels have enough parts and pieces to get the season underway in good order. We put a split squad out there of low prospect level players and they still produced.

Nava,Simmons, Cron and johnnyG are your big names and still chalk up 10 runs? Good times.
