Would 15 days really make much of a difference? I don't know the exact recovery time for PF, but I'm sure its months before any noticeable healing occurs. I don't disagree with you, I too would rather Albert miss time early however, the team finally seems to be starting to gel, I would hate for the team to mess with with things just when they start picking it up.

Pau Gasol came back in 6 weeks and he had a complete tear and also plays in a much more demanding sport especially on your foot.

The key to plantar fasciitis, at least according to my wife (who's had it twice), is to get as much rest as possible...staying off your feet. Stretching the foot muscles is also helpful.

Pujols looks horrible right now (0-fer his last 13), and I gotta believe it is his foot.  I am actually surprised I didn't wake up this morning to news that they were putting him on the DL.

One of his at bats last night, you could tell that hiss swing was affected by his left foot. He didn't have it planted and he struck out. I bet a few days, maybe a week of rest would be huge. I've had it before. It's it terribly painful. Thy should give him a few days to see. Our bench players have been doing well. Maybe when Aybar gets back, give Pujols a rest? Hate to say that, but it'is a long season. Lets get him healthy.

I agree, the team is doing OK right now, and Albert looks like he's barely able to stand in the batters box. He was hitting off the charts when the PF first flared up but he doesn't look the same now.

 

There is a long way to go in the season, and without rest it will only get worse.

I'd let him at least sit out the first two games of the Seattle series. Bring him in to PH if absolutely needed. The Angels don't have a day off until May 6th. so he is going to need some days off before then.

I'd be ok if he went on the DL. 15 days of resting could do a lot of good for him. I'd rather have a healthy, contributing Pujols than a hurt, struggling one. If he has to miss a dozen games for that to happen so be it.

Yes, it looks to me like he needs a rest, even though Hamilton's numbers are still in the gutter,he looks a little more disciplined. Give Puljos a rest, and slide Hamilton into 3. I agree with those who say he looks like he's in agony. Two weeks, hopefully it helps.

And only 9 more years left...he's going to be a full-time DH in 3-4 years (if not sooner).  I dont think his foot will ever totally heal since he's been dealing with the same issues for years...just seems to get worse and worse every year.
