I Already Miss the Halos

Despite the sour ending to the season, I still really miss watching the Angels play. I watched all 165 games so there's a pretty big void now that the season ended.

I'm an Angels fan more than a baseball fan, so watching other teams play does nothing to me.

If we had won the World Series, the offseason would have been delightful.

Seeing these 2 bogus teams play in the LCS though really sucks.  We had it all.  The high payroll, the 2 aces, the gold glove SS and 1B, the World Series veterans, the MVP, and the best record.  And all we had to do was go better then 2-26 with RISP to have made it.  This offseason is going to be long and hard, and the regular season next year will only help ease the burden a little bit.  Even if we storm through the regular season again next year sweeping every team we face, it still wont be enough until it happens in October.

Get a life. It's a baseball team and season.

As much as I'd hate it, I'd love to see Arte move the team to downtown LA just to see the meltdown on this board.

I don't really have time for a life due to law school. Either way, the Angels mean alot to me, and they aren't just a baseball team. This team was all I had when I was growing up. Watching them, going to games, getting autographs, and obsessing over baseball helped me overcome–or at least forget about hard times as a kid.

Besides, this is a message board for Angels enthusiasts. Most guys here are obsessed with Angels Baseball, so your comment seems a bit puzzling.

I would hate to have to hold my team to those standards in order to find joy. Oh and these teams aren't bogus.

I find joy in watching the season regardless of the eventual outcome.  But at the end of the day, its still World Series or bust, just like it with every successful franchise.  Of course if your a Royals fan, you might be satisfied with just an ALDS win.  But I wasnt satisfied in 09 with just making the ALCS.  And actually these teams are bogus.  Compare this series to any ALCS of the last 10 years, both of these teams dont even come close.

So you would love to see something happen that you would hate, just so you can see peoples reaction on a message board.  Sounds like the one who needs to get a life is you my friend.

Just because it's not the Yankees or the Red Sox or even the Tigers doesn't mean these are bad teams. Historically they are very good teams, just not recent history. I don't know how old you are but these teams were both very good before the money in the sport exploded the last 20 years.

Im not talking about the markets.  Im talking about the teams.  Both of these teams have major flaws.  The Angels exposed one of the Royals flaws, that their lineup sucks.  They were just as bad as our lineup through 9 innings.  But for some reason, we just choked too hard and couldnt put them away.  We should have won 3-2 and 2-1 in both the first two games, and then closed it out in Game 4.

The Orioles are missing their 3rd basemen and their catcher, they have 2 good hitters and 1 decent one (Jones).  They dont have a guy in their rotation with much playoff experience or someone you could call an ace..  Which is why I said, if you match either of these up with an LCS team from the past, its no contest.
