So as I am reading this forum I see that some of the biggest criticism of Sosh is that Wilson and Hamilton were on the playoff rosters.

 

Isn't that the GM's call, or at least isn't it a consensus?  Why is teflon jerry getting another pass?

Dipoto has said many times that roster decisions are the managers.

 

Dipoto did an amazing job filling holes in this roster to get the team to the playoffs.

Both Mike Scioscia and Jerry Dipoto are up for Manager of the year and GM of the Year.

Scioscia is not getting fired. Dipoto is not getting fired. Both did an amazing job this season.

You can question Scioscia all day long, and yeah, he made some questionable calls (primarily going with Josh Hamilton & bunting Kole Calhoun), that said, over 165 games he was pretty efffn good! As was the team. 98 wins is tough to accomplish folks.

Wasn't the biggest Scioscia fan coming into this season, but he was a great captain this year for us.

They had to be on the roster, barring bad health. They didn't perform well but they weren't the only ones. Like Pujols said, it was a team effort.
