The Angels are winning with a pitching staff made up of Weaver, Wilson, Santiago and a bunch of relief pitchers from the minors. I hate to say but Scioscia, with the Seattle rotation and bullpen, is certainly not going to manage that team into a 4-11 freefall to end the season with the Wildcard within their grasps. Same goes with Oakland's shitastic collapse of 6-9 in their last 15 games as well. I just don't see Mike failing as bad as McClendon and Melvin given those teams and vs the opponents they have faced.

I think the M's had a nice season - if you told them they would be 83-75 with 4 games to play, they would have taken it.  They lack some offensive punch, but they have a bunch of young players and a nice future.

The AL West has a chance at being the class of baseball in the next few years. Dipoto has his work cut out for him to keep the Angels competitive.

Texas was terrible all season but they are playing better than most teams right now and with their nothing to lose attitude, they are swinging the bats well. They swept Oakland IN Oakland last week and 2 of those games weren't close at all.

 

So, if Tepesch hits Donaldson with pitches at every at bat like he did to Trout, Oak might be able to score some runs. but don't count on Oakland handily beating the Rangers.

It is amazing how terrible Oakland has played but they will still most likely make the playoffs and possibly end up playing the Angels if they can beat KC.
