After five months of work, assistant general manager Scott Servais has finally completed the Angels' organizational manual. Within that four-inch, leather-bound binder is everything the Halos believe in -- offensively, defensively, on the mound, in the weight room, off the field and in Latin America.

Servais was an amazing hire on behalf of Dipoto. He surrounded himself with some of the best minds in baseball. You can bet that if the Angels don't make the playoffs this year and Dipoto doesn't have his contract renewed, the Angels will likely turn to Servais for GM.

That would piss off Scioscia all the more because if you think he and Jerry disagreed on things, wait til you see how Mike and Scott feel about one another. Of course there's always the chance Scioscia gets the boot as well if they fall short.

That's putting the horse before the carriage though. The Angels look great and can win in 2014.

Scioscia can actually "turn the page" now.

I remember when Jose Mota came by to talk to my HS class for career day one year.

 

He passed around the info book given to announcers that has all kinds of Angels related information they may need, stats and all.

 

 

Everything I could do not to shove it in my jacket.

This is great to hear.

Servals is doing a heck of a job to get the farm system back where it needs to be. Kudos to him and everybody involved for finally adapting to modern day baseball.
