Best Star Wars Film

Episode 3 gave us the greatest scene in all the Star War though.

Rogue One was my favorite of the bunch, so i voted for it. It was good story-telling and explained how the rebels acquired the plans to the death star. The special effects were also better, plus there weren't any ewoks in it.

Any Star Wars film with old Han Solo and Leia is out.

Any Star Wars film with Ewoks is out. Although Leia wore a bikini in Return of the Jedi.

Any Star Wars film with Billy Dee Williams is out.

That leaves Episode IV, A New Hope.

Battle of the Network Stars

Mine is close between the originals, episode 4 or 5. I went with A New Hope, because, well, it started it all and was such a classic "heroes journey" tale, and it was the original that started it all. As a kid, I would have easily said Episode 6, it was the first movie I remember being truly excited for and standing in a long line at the Cinedome in Orange for.., there, that should date myself! I was 12 at the time, so I was in the prime demographic for Ewoks! 

You can add me to the long list of people that has not been impressed by the new trilogy. I think the best by a large margin, of the Disney generation of movies is Rogue One. I also liked Solo, at least liked it much more than what seems to be the accepted view of the movie.

Empire puts the heroes in the most trouble and has the darkest moments. It feels like all is lost which is important to story.

A New Hope sets up so much for the future, yet stands alone as a movie.

I will take Empire for the win.

It’s Rogue One for me. I wil say that watching Clone Wars makes the prequel trilogy a hell of a lot better, but that shouldn’t be required for the films to be considered.

Among the trilogies, Empire.  But I voted for Rogue One.
