Grichuk recently playing to get a contender to claim him, 9-31 in September so far with 2 HRs

It’s pretty much a wrap for Cleveland’s chances.

Who would have thought a 3-3 record so far this week with a makeshift roster?

The 1999 team was on pace to go 62-90 the first week of September. That would have been the worst record in team history. After Collins quit and Maddon took over, they had a 9-1 stretch and a 9-3 stretch to get to 70 wins. So, you never know.

Yeah it seems like the Angels aren't any worse even after losing Ohtani and Rengifo. Not sure what that means except maybe they hit rock bottom before those injuries.

The way Nevin sounded have the game he's coming back. He likes young core of players. He has worked with them and I hope he stays.

As long as the injuries don’t pile up again next season, there is a decent core even if Ohtani leaves.
