Richards - 11.80 K/9 with a 58.3% GB%

Heaney - 9.91 K/9 with a 36.6% GB%

Skaggs - 9.24 K/9 with a 51% GB%

Ohtani - 10.94 K/9 with a 38.1% GB%

Give me arms who strike batters out paired with good groundball rates(especially with the infield defense the Angels have assembled). Skaggs and Richards are on the high end there in both categories. Yes, Richards walk rate is still pretty ugly and he needs to hone that in, but all in all things are pointing up with this rotation

If Rich can keep those numbers up, he is going to be incredible. Assuming he stops walking people eventually.

Edit- for reference, among pitchers who have thrown at least 30 innings this year, Richards is #4 in GB%, behind some dudes named Arrieta, Stroman, and McCullers. Skaggs is #19. Richards is also #9 in k/9, and Skaggs is #41. Whats killing Richards is being fifth worst in bb/9. His hr/fb rate is ugly as well.
