Comedy legend Jerry Lewis dead at 91

I still remember him teaming up with Dean Martin in a lot of movies and stage acts.

RIP.  He was a great actor, that walked away, and made a bigger impact with MDA.

Lewis lived here, and I am sure that this will get substantial coverage in the local media. He was a talented comic, but most will remember his work with the annual MDA Telethon. Countless stars appeared to aid the cause. He did a tremendous amount of good for people who had little voice.

appreciate greatly the work he did with the MDA.

never saw any of his movies. for some reason, they just never appealed to me. previews i saw with his goofy voice just didn't resonate with me.

I really enjoyed his work.  Very funny man, good interview.  That being said I thought he was already dead.  Just hadn't heard from him in so long.

Seriously he was still alive? Thought he died long ago.

I challenge anyone to actually listen to this all the way through...Bill Handel plays this when nobody calls in to his law show, and threatens to keep playing it until the phone lights up.

I remember his telethons from when i was a kid, and some old ass movies on channel 5 on sundays. Before my time, but respect to him or anyone else who dedicsted themselves to a cause helping others.

i think this officially starts the clock as to when his "the day the cloud cried," the dark comedy drama about a down on his luck clown suffering in a nazi concentration camp who is used to lure children, pied piper style, into the gas chamber at auschwitz, will be released?

Once the MDA cut ties with him, he wasn't heard from much apart from the occasional interview (mostly on local Las Vegas TV).
