That's good stuff. This kid is special. That swing is beautiful. He might not hit 40 HR's a year, but I can picture somewhere around Howie Kendrick or Adrian Gonzalez type of production.

I don't get it. There's a pretty huge gap between Howie's production and A-Gon.

Howie's 162 game average is .290/.330 35 2B 10 HR - rounding off.

Adrian Gonzalez's 162 game average is .290/.360 35 2B 30 HR.

Split the difference, he'll hit something like .290/.345 35 DB 20 HR.

Thaiss has an incredible approach at the plate. Worked the count to 2-0, then crushed an RBI single to right field.

Batting .600 and getting a lot of looks this spring.

Knowing this organization, they'll give him a full year at every level and he won't be in the majors until he's 26.

Reality, I'd say they give him a full year split between A+ and AA while they figure out what to do with Cron/Valbuena/Pujols. He'll be up in 2018.

Over about 600 official at bats, that would produce about an .800 OPS.

Nice!

Almost the same stance, action at the plate and the amount of power/discipline.

The only difference is Votto had more speed and was a bit more polished as a 1B defensively. But in terms of at the plate, a striking resemblance.
