Chris Bassitt threw 94 pitches in just 3.2 innings tonight for the White Sox.

 

CJ has something to aim for in his next start.

94 pitches in less than 4 innings --- GEEZ......it is mid-September -- in April/ May that guy is probably out of the game after 25 pitches.

So the guy we traded away for DDLR (Steven Geltz), plunked Derek Jeter tonight which caused Girardi to go apeshit and get run from the game.   In the bottom of the inning the Yanks hit a Ray's hitter causing the benches to clear and good old fashioned shit-show has broken out...

 

Jeter's been getting plunked left and right lately, which is good as it's the only thing keeping his OBP up.

Milwaukee has taken a 3-2 lead over Cards in St. Luis........bottom 12th -- 2 outs. now 3 -- Milwaukee wins a game they absolutely had to.

 

tough loss for Cards -- they led most of the game.........Brewers tied it up in the top of the 9th........after Gomez stole 2nd and 3rd (off the pitcher not off Yadier) and then scored on a fly ball hit.

The second half of the season Jeter is hitting .211 with a .510 OPS. He is hitting .116 in September.
