One of the important remaining goals for this regular season, IMO, is for Oakland to be eliminated from the playoff race.

It would be incredibly disappointing for them to survive, only to get hot and see the Angels in the first round, with that staff of theirs.

While Seattle is scary, they are still Seattle, with their weak offense and lack of big game experience. We have a decent history against King Felix and are due to against Iwakuma. And we have our own Iwakuma (Shoemaker).

Lol everyone here is so scared of Seattle.  I personally am not.  They are 18th in runs, 26th in OBP in the Majors.  They are exactly the type of team we should be looking to face, because our pitching staff can handle them.  The Tigers on the other hand, can always get hot.

Plus they will probably use Felix or Iwakuma just to get into the wild card game.  We could get a 2-0 lead on them early.

Still, because Detroit's bullpen is a giant question mark, I would love to face them in an ALDS.

Seattle has a strong pen.

Bullpens are one of the biggest factors in post-season success.

2002 saw that plus frenetic hitting send them to a WS title.
