his "i am a homerun pitcher" comment last year was one of the more odd things i've heard from a sport that makes a habit of athletes saying odd things. it seems like, "flyball pitcher" would have been a better phrase to use.

 

i remember ryan howard being asked about the defensive switch utilized against him and he said, "if those outs were hits, i'd be a .300 hitter." i understood what he was saying, but it's idiotic logic. i mean truly stupid.
