There is something to be said about team chemistry. Most teams that go all out in the offseason get off to slow starts and sometimes never come around. The Blue Jays were not a bad team last year but also in a tough division. They didn't add much this offseason and kept the same core of guys. A lot of guys went back to career norms and they have come out flying. The team can crush and probably have the best lineup in baseball, but now that they've been around each other for some time, the chemistry is there.

I'll never forget the year Haren was traded he mentioned how the Angels went on a roll once they all got to know each other towards the end of the year, but by the next season out went 5 guys and in came 5 new ones. It's hard to adjust when you're making big changes every year. Ever since we have been in this playoff slump we have had those types of changes every year
