I have a question:

If I wanted to call a CYCLE would that suffice? I am sticking with a Triple for this game, but was considering a CYCLE but wasn't sure if that would qualify.

I would love to see it, but it would be a big fat zero in this game.  Any hitters prediction must have two elements, the first being the number hits per so many AB's, and the second limited to the items listed in the hitter section under the Rules (see the PINNED thread above for the Rules).  A "cycle" is not an option.  If an invalid prediction is posted it invalidates the entire prediction, and you score zero points.

 

We also had a prediction recently for a "complete game" for an Angel starting pitcher.  A complete game prediction is completely invalid because that could mean anything from 5 innings to however many innings the game takes.  For a pitcher you must specify the number of innings and/or partial innings pitched, plus another element as listed in the Rules.

 

I try to be explicit in administering the Rules not to be a grump about it, but because this game works best for the participants if we stay inside the boundaries as spelled out in the Rules, then it's completely objective and fair to everyone.

 

Especially for first time players, it's really a great idea to spend the time to read the PINNED Rules thread.

 

I like your thinking on the cycle anyway, and you can always predict anything you like really, but you just can't score points for an illegal prediction.
