On the bright side...

• The Oakland A's started out 0-2 against the Mariners in 2013
• Pujols and Hamilton are hitting
• Our offense, defense, and pitching have been poor - this is a good thing out of the gate
  • Last season it was supremely inconsistent. When our pitching was good our hitting was poor and when our hitting was good our pitching was poor.
  • We need a few weeks to get into a good rhythm and to really figure out who is pitching well in the bullpen

• We are about to see Richards as a full-time starter, which we all have wanted for 1-2 years
• Our two new guns on the mound are about to pitch
• No Blanton
• No Santana/Ortiz-ish inconsistent pitcher in the rotation
• CALHOOOUUNNN

All valid points and I thank you for them. Everything will come around. I still have the feeling that this team is going to do something great...the waiting is something that is hard to deal with though BUT there will be greatness!!!

There are a lot of good things to look at so far. There are also a ton of ugly things to look at. It really comes down to what you want to focus on. I am very disappointed that we have pitched horribly and that we haven't really hit outside of the top few in the line up. However, I will use perspective for now.
