Ryan Webb non-tendered

This one's probably the most shocking.  Posted a 2.91 ERA in 66 appearances in 2013.  Career ERA of 3.29.  Tall RHP, FB sits 93-94, throws a hard mid to high 80's slider, in only his first year of arbitration.  I know the Angels have their focus on SP right now, but does anyone honestly believe the bullpen is only a Smith and Salas away from completion?

Check out the A's, who are proving that you can never have too much pitching.  Johnson, Cook, Doolittle, Gregerson, and Blevins

Grab Webb, slot him in the pen in DDLR's spot and roll out something that looks like this: Frieri, Smith, Burnett, Webb, DDLR, Morin, Salas.  Suddenly the Angels might be able to shorten some games and hang on longer than an inning before running out pitching in extra frames.

Yeah.  Saw this guy as well.  Doesn't miss many bats and tends to give up a fair amount of hits.  Salas actually has better peripherals yet his results haven't been as good.  Can't hurt to take a chance on him although I think he'd have to try and win a spot this spring.
