Of course, the geniuses at the Anaheim City Council pushed forward with the new train station east of the 57 freeway, designed to accommodate HSR that hadn't yet been built.  It's being built as we speak for tens, if not hundreds, of million of dollars.

Report on the news said the first 128 miles of track is already somewhere between three and four times over budget.

My recollection is the voters approved something like $10 billion in bonds for this thing, and its current cost is $68 billion, projected to easily surpass $100 billion.

 

It should be killed for that reason alone.
