Interesting.  How much of a difference do you think this has made?

Some. Baby steps.

We'll see over time.

Adell should be in the lineup next game.

I don't get why Hicks is playing. He's not performing and he's not the future. Yet there is Adell who is young and playing fairly well

Adell should have been starting every game in the #5 slot before Rendon hurt his hoo-hah.

Adell should now be starting every day in the #1 slot.

Done with Hicks.

Done with Neto.

Again, though: there is literally no replacement who's even a passable major leaguer.  Rengifo is not a full-time SS defensively.  Adrianza has certainly not shown anything over the last decade-plus to indicate he can hold down the position on a full-time basis.  Kyren Paris has a .360 OPS in AA.  Elliot Soto, Jack Lopez, and Cole Tucker are the other options at AAA.

For better or worse, they just have to ride it out with Neto.  I can't imagine them making any sort of trade that would make much of a difference at this point.

The concern is that these current struggles will have detrimental effect on his development.

Do you think he'll get better coaching and development at AAA/AA? It sucks that the Angels are in this position, but this is what you get when your early-round draft strategy is so heavily focused on getting guys to the majors quickly.

There's no development needed.

Dude just needs to wait for a strike and hit it instead of fouling it off.

Dude needs to stop guessing.

Hits will fall but flailing at pitches 6 inches outside is garbage.

Haha Thaiss...

Yep, you can't just throw the kid to the wolves because you are too incompetent to find someone else to struggle to hit .200.
