Young Men Are Getting Perms

I don’t know why this hasn’t been a daily “scare the old white peoples” post by @Redondo but frankly it should.

A few months back in some thread I randomly commented about this shaggy, curly hair on top and shaved sides haircut that seems ubiquitous amongst dudes between 15-25.  I was amazed at how many young men had curly hair and could actually do this hairstyle but I assumed it was because curly/wavy hair was more common amongst Latinos and I’m basically only around Latinos.  (I don’t know if Latinos have a higher incidence of curly/wavy hair, to be honest, but it was a reasonable assumption).

Anyways, turns out young men are getting perms.

Hairstyles come and go. Nobody wants to look like their parents. The good news on that front is that soon the style will be to actually pull up your pants and not have a sleeve of pointless tattoos

I was just discussing the perm thing with my wife and she was lamenting how many boys at my kids school have mullets because it, too, is a current trendy style for young men and boys.  I said “at least the mullet boys will still pair up with females someday”.

had a hispanic boy last year with curly hair who let it grow wild on top but cut it somewhat close along the sides and back. combine that look with the way he walked and he looked like a live-action bobblehead doll.

I shave mine with a 1/2 clipper attachment. I love the ease of having that cut. Mine is slightly receding but is still fairy thick

Something like 5 - 7 years ago, I was growing my hair out and my friend who's a hairstylist told me to do a Brazilian blowout.

I felt embarrassed getting it but it made my hair way better looking.  

Now I'm married and don't care so just short hair, but if more dudes knew about that it would be way more popular.

In Turkey, where the guys are worse than the chicks, it's a popular procedure.
