Before Lorenzen's last start, it looked even better.

That's why there were some experts last off-season that quietly picked the Angels to win the division, citing that their rotation was going to be sneaky good. 

And it is. It's still early, and the acquisitions weren't sexy but Minasian has fished the right buttons so far.

Amazing what one of our talented starting pitchers can accomplish with a good homeplate ump behind the dish. 

Hell, they may even be able to throw a no-hitter.

yeah, I watched the entire game last night and the umpire was really good.  Sucks that it has to be an anomaly more than commonplace.

I think the umpiring in this series has been very good with respect to the strike zone. I cant really think of any other bad calls.

Monday's HP ump was not great - at least that was my impression in game. Very inconsistent.

Just looked it up. While he didn't really favor anyone much, which is what I thought, he was not great on consistency.
