Good article. Hit it right on the nail about how cutting dead weight (Upton) has allowed for Ward's breakthrough. Similar to cutting Pujols for Walsh. Next i hope its cutting Suzuki for Thaiss

I didn't realize Ward was already 28, feels like we just drafted him a few years ago.

But yeah, pleasant surprise obviously.  If him and Marsh can be above average regulars on top of Trout/Ohtani/Rendon/Walsh being their usual selves, our lineup should continue to be one of the best in baseball.

I'm not alone, but I was very wrong about Ward. Good on him for making everyone look bad for doubting him.

And really, adding in Stassi, you're talking about seven out of nine regulars being solidly above average.
