As Costas and Kaat said during the telecast, this event isn't about the US. It is about whipping up baseball fever in other countries.

I have to admit that I watched and even enjoyed a few games, more than any time in the past...

But the final rounds felt a bit more like watching soccer, than they did baseball.

The earlier rounds had better, more compelling games.

The last few games felt more like long 1-0 soccer matches., boring.
