Since the topic of whether the Angels should try running more has come up in a couple of recent threads, I thought this was worth a read:

I think it's stupid not to steal bases, but I'm not sure the Angels have the right personnel in the way of starters to take advantage of the rule change that has led to more SB's. 

I mean I think Trout and Ohtani are fast enough to steal bags, but I don't think they want to risk their two superstars to any injuries.

Same. Feels like a missed opportunity on their end to be even less aggressive after the rule changes this season/bigger bases

Yes I miss when we manufactured runs but this team ain’t exactly the 87 cardinals on the base paths.
