It will probably be ugly. His career numbers against Boston: 11 starts, 3-4, 5.21 ERA, 1.51 WHIP, .293 BAA. His last 3 or 4 starts at Fenway were terrible.

 

Unfortunately, Dempster is pitching better than his pitched last year with Texas. He's 3-6 with a 4.39 ERA, and 1.39 WHIP, but his BAA is only .228.  Dempster has terrible career numbers against the Angels: 3 starts (all three starts came in 2012), 0-2, 11.20 ERA, 2.34 WHIP, .386 BAA. It will probably be a high scoring game.
