Any news on La Stella?

Tomorrow will be exactly eight weeks from his injury; the predicted time was 8-10 weeks, so I'm wondering if we're going to see him at all in September, or if the Angels will just play it safe and let him heal 100%.

With the Angels out, the team's focus should be giving the young guys playing time and seeing what they have for next year, so it doesn't really matter. Just curious, as 2-3 solid (and healthy) weeks from La Stella could make him an interesting trade chip in the offseason.

Tommy La Stella has begun taking some ground balls and hitting off a tee, Ausmus said. La Stella is out with a fractured leg, expected to return sometime in the next two weeks.

The Angels need him to start throwing off a mound and doing bullpen sessions.

As long as those are "satisfactory" and not "fantastic". 

If it's the latter, the rest of your career can usually be measured in days.
