He is survived by his wife of 52 years, one daughter, and grandchildren.

He would rip into anyone in the audience or celebrities. He wasn't afraid and no one was safe. You could tell some were a little uncomfortable, but the bottom line is that everyone laughed.

Was surprised to hear that his best friend was Bob Newhart. When it comes to stage persona, you probably couldn't find two people more opposite.

he was great friends with Sinatra, too.
