What do you think about him? He probably won't make the squad this postseason, but what do you think about his Angels' future? How did he pitch yesterday?

I think you're talking about Grilli's replacement after this season. Guy's under control for several more years. Now we just need a lefty reliever not  named Joe Thatcher.

I'd carry him THIS October, and only carry one from Grilled Cheese or Tossed Salad and also carry the red hot in September LeBlanc.

 

The guy has been really good since coming here (9.1 innings, 0.96 ERA and 0.96 WHIP), and may be just about back to where he was in 2011-12 when he was one of the better setup men in the AL for the Indians.

always tough to tell with RPs cause they pitch in such short bursts, but I think he's looked pretty good since coming over. I definitely think he could be a big piece of the BP next year.

Really? Mike Morin has had a great season for us... He's home grown and good with inherited runners. I would take Morin who can give you two innings after Rasmus. Nothing against Pestano, I would probably take him, too.

He has legit stuff it seems, and I am sure the team plans on him assuming a spot in next year's pen. With Street, Smith, Jeppy, Morin, Salas and Pestano in the fold (not to mention possibly Bedrosian and Gott), next year's pen is just about set.

All the more reason why the Angels might be able to spend on a guy like Lester or Shields. There are almost no holes to fill on next year's team.

Diaz is an excellent choice to come in the game for one batter if Mike Trout gets drilled inside repeatedly, ala Terry Francona with Vladdy.

Pestano will be just as good next year as he was with the Indians before this year.  That bullpen is going to be lights out.  Street and Smith will obviously do their thing, but then you have probably the deepest pool of RP in all of MLB.  Jepsen, Morin, Pestano, Bedrosian, Diaz, Rasmus will all be battling for spots on the top roster and in the minors you still have Sappington, Gott, Reynolds and likely Alcantara.  After that there are a whole bunch of guys who could go either way like Scoggins, Wood and McGowin.  

 

That's incredible depth to have, and they're all relatively young too.  I think the Angels are pretty well stocked in the late innings for the next half decade or so.
