They're going to be fun to watch soon.  Baez and Soler are up, with Bryant and Russell probably joining them sometime in 2015.  Small sample size but first round pick Kyle Schwarber is tearing it up in the low minors

The Epstein factor = load up on really good college players who can get to the bugs sooner, mix in a few foreign players like Soler and strategic FA signings.

Cubs before Epstein = meandering down mediocre path.

Cubs with Epstein = dangerous in 2-3 years from now.

You almost root for the cubs because theyre loveable losers...but if they ever really did win it just wouldnt be the same.

The only one I like of them all is Kris Bryant.

It's going to take a lot more talent than this kid to turn the Cubbies around.

Show me the talent on the field before I use "Cubs" and "good" in the same sentence.

Pitching is the one area they still need a lot of work on.

Arrieta can't do it alone, although Hendricks and Wada are coming on strong since arriving in the Windy City in July.

The bullpen has some promise with Ramirez, Strop, Wright, and yes even a Rondon!

Lately, they've done well with reclamation projects (Arrieta& Wada).
