How does the deal work for the agent

In a case like Ohtani where his money if 95% differed for 10 years does anyone know how that works for the agent? I am of the understanding that the agents make a percent of the deal that they negotiate for the player so does that mean Nez will be making differed money for 10 years after the contract runs out as well ?

It works however Ohtani worked it out with his agent.
