With the poll about what is the worst times you remember in Angels history it got me thinking about the first game I ever attended in person and brought back found memorys and kind of wanted to offer that up to anyone to share. Mine was August 13th 1989 my parents took me to Angels stadium to see my team at the time Oakland A's and the bash brothers take on the Angels. I remember sitting on the 1 st base side of the field and cooking the whole game lol. It amazes me how many stars were in that game but the strangest memory of mine from that game is this guy in the stands would do this crazy dance every time Tony Armas of the Angels would come up pointing at his toe then his knee then his arm and finally his ass and he would get faster and faster as he did this dance lol. Its funny as hell the things that you remember after all the years lol. The Angels won the game that day but I didnt care I got to see my heros at the time play and will forever remember the exsperiance.

Lets hope one mans trash "CWS" Pillar can be anouther mans Treasure "Angels" I doubt it but hell at this point anyport in this storm would like real nice

I kind of want Burns more then Wetherholt for to simple fact that in my opinion good pitching is harder to come by and this team needs some good pitching outside of Dana what do we have that folks dont need to look real hard at to see any potential for more then a #4 in the majors. Unless the thought is JJ could be the next Trout/Harper type. Pitching costs more then hitting more times then not when your trying to aquire it.

I have no blurred vision of this team being anything more then 500 in the best of cases but I will say I am liking the style that they are playing its more fun to watch then everyone standing around waiting for a homerun to happen and going 1 base at a time on hits. That was so boring to watch last couple years.

He has an upper vaginal strain and will be reivaluated in 15 days once he gets back from Cancon with his family. We will see If the swelling goes down fingers are crossed there isnt a tear.

I dont get everyones cry for Adell to play so bad. Yes his bat has been better this year so far but for every good thing he does it feels like he has to do something stupid to make up for it his base running has been an adventure to say the least. His defense while I will say is improved from what it was is still a hold on to your seat moments when the ball is hit to him. I think its the dumb plays that has Wash sitting him kind of a punishment for doing dumb things or screwing up. One more thing this is not saying I agree with playing hicks more or anything I just feel like Adell needs to cut down on the dumb if he wants playing time the bat isnt that good to make folks ignore the mistakes.

And both could probably still hit as many HR as Nolan right now but thats ok lol

Hind sight is 20-20 but dam i sure wish we would have used some of this money to bring in Brandon Woodruff let him rehab with us and see if we could sign him score some buddy points with him in advance if we could have

Let him be Mark Grace or Wally Joyner and stop pushing for hum to try and hit like Pete Alonzo not saying that anyone thinks he will ever have Pete power, but a guy can have a solid season crushing dubbles and clutch singles in alot of cases these type hitters are more valuable to a team then a guy who crushes solo shot meatballs in games that are basically over. Teams tend to tinker to much with young guys thinking I can make him better or unlock someone he isnt more times then not it dont work and the player is worse off for trying and never get back to what they were.

Its plain as day that He is being given the Kapernick treatment. It doesnt matter he didnt break the law or the rules. Its been decided by the people in charge that he is a no sign no way and if your team does concider yourself blackballed from future trades and league incintives ect ect. Dude didnt do anything wrong other then be a freaky arrogant non remorsefull prick. Last I checked this is America and that isnt against any laws but dont make you a well liked person. Still say the Angels should sign him. Baseball already dont like Arte much anyways in my opinion. Would anyone be surprised if he filed a lawsuit against baseball for conspiring against him he seem to like lawsuits ?

I dont think we will see Joe get consistant playing time until after the trade deadline I think Perry has Ron playing Hicks, Sano, Moniak, Drury in front of Renjifo and Adell now becasue he wants them to do something to get any kind of prospect ticket at the deadline he can I feel like he know that adell and Renjifo are in the future plans and the others not so much but right now they have next to no value at all Joe will get his chance I just hope it dont take to long and he gives up.

I find it very hard to beleive that someone does not see this kind of money either not make it to his account or comes up missing but hay maybe I guess but If I were Sho I would also fire Nez his agent who let Ippie have so much control and him to just go along with it why didnt he pull Sho aside and be like look dude something smells like fish here and it isnt the sushi. I think that with this pitching staff and this team we will see alot of these 4-2 we loose games they will keep us in it for a few innings but most of these guys get in trouble after 1 time threw the order no true dominatant pitches on anyone they are all nibblers with no real ok buddy here it is hit it if you can stuff when they have to throw strikes they are in trouble. In fainess most all of MLB pitchers are this tho very few have a I'll tell you its coming and you still wont hit it pitch.

What do you guys think is his issue ? I tend to think he is to busy listening to everyone that sticks a mic in his face that he needs to get stronger he needs to hit more homeruns he needs to swing harder all the noise that players hear and most veterans blow off and he is trying to be this person everyone thinks he needs to be rather then just be like last year and just do you and let that shit come when it does if it ever does. He is letting every arm chair coach get in his head and looks all out of wack right now. My opinion would love to hear yours everyone.

I am not looking to start an argument here with you. However you have made 1000 post this off season to dont sign anyone and let the young guys play and have their shot. Now you post this to send him down after what 10 games. I agree that he should get more time in the minors to work on his body. I think the best team that they can feild right now is move Drury to first full time and start Renjifo. but your stance on this has confused me a bit.

I feel like Perry has made some mistakes as the OP pointed out. I may not agree with all of his points but the one thing I will say Is I like what Perry is trying to do inside the foundation of the team, scouting, development, ect ect. I finally think we have a GM that is not a yes man totally to Arte such as the lets get Trea Turner and him stearing Arte away from that. Is he perfect no is he way better then what we have had in the last 10 years 15 years hell yes. Could there be someone better out there somewhere maybe but would that person be willing to deal with Atre? I doubt it. Final point does anyone think that if Perry was let go from the Angels that he wouldnt get picked up somewhere else ? he 100% does in my opinion. He has done aswell as can be expected within the limits he is set up with. Again my opinion.

I dont expect domination out of Sandy but it burns me up inside when he pouts and stomps around the mound when stuff dont go his way. Walks happen and guess what erros happen to you dont see Neto kick second base when Sandy gives up a walk or Trout throw his glove when he makes an error. Why does this sound just like a Rendon headline for the last several years. I feeel bad for him he just got back from injury the middle of last year didnt he now out again. Sucks for him hope he can bounce back once again.

Adell wouldnt be riding a bench if we could option him with out loosing him but thats not going to happen so mop up strike out get the game over duty is whats left for him. Until the Angels figure that they will not get anything for hicks at the trade deadline and they cut bait with him and do a 50/50 split with moniak/Adell or if there is a injury at some point in the outfield. I know people think it sucks but lets be honest up to this point Adell has had chances prior to this season and blew them all. It can be argured what was his fault and what was others but he has had chances now he has to wait.
