Adell wouldnt be riding a bench if we could option him with out loosing him but thats not going to happen so mop up strike out get the game over duty is whats left for him. Until the Angels figure that they will not get anything for hicks at the trade deadline and they cut bait with him and do a 50/50 split with moniak/Adell or if there is a injury at some point in the outfield. I know people think it sucks but lets be honest up to this point Adell has had chances prior to this season and blew them all. It can be argured what was his fault and what was others but he has had chances now he has to wait.

Nice honest wright up I agree we should think long and hard about Snell not so much for this year but for next pair him with another top guy next year with Reid and Chase and Canning would be nice.

A whole lot of #1 and #2 types starting to have issues right now. I am sure the deal they may have taken at the start of the week is on pause at this point while Boras chases that extra dollar,year,opt out ect.

Thanks for this Jeff I was not aware they didnt get insurance on these contracts. I figured it would be standard practice on investments on such high dollar items (players).

I am fairly certain that they have to in order for the teams insurance to cover them and their contracts.

I think teams like them just not as much as Boras thinks they should tho.

Sure we could do nothing and go into next year with the same nothing that might be just a bit better or worse. If we sign one of these 3 guys we are not signing them for what they will bring us this year its for the year after forward. If we want a Burns type player to even think of signing here with us we have to show that we are building a foundation with solid players and that we are not counting on just them to bring us to the promise land. If we show that hay they have Trout health and the young guys are getting better and are on the cusp, and they have pitching already in a Snell or Monty type maybe just maybe an Ace would give us a real shot to sign them and not just leverage us to get more cash elsewhere. This is just my opinion tho but we sign these guys not for this years result but for the next.

I find it funny as the only good things people have to say about the Arte is that he does spend on players maybe not wisely but he has lower beer prices and tickets and parking have been reasonable. Well now he says he isnt spending has lost the biggest star in baseball all while the price of parking doubled last year and ticket prices have gone up this year. Guess he wants to get the last of his it could be worse followers to hate him aswell lol.

I dont completely know how everyone else feels some I do but for me its go get a deal done with Snell or Monty. Can any honestly say that when anyone of the current roster pitches is on the mound they feel like yes we are going to win this one tonight for sure like they did when Sho was pitching ? We didnt always but you always felt like yes we are going to win or be in it this group of guys its well if this works and that happens and maybe I hope so. Bring one of these guys in on 3-5 year deal it will help attract some other big fish next year maybe Burns but who knows but we honestly do not have a guy that makes me feel that YES we are going to win tonight feeling its all maybe and I hopes. How do you guys feel are you confident in what we have ?

My guess is that this was an easy target to set a example to everyone that Wash isnt playing when it comes to working hard and being accountable. Now today he can walk into that club house and say if you dont wanna work hard or give max effort you can catch a ride with him down the road.

I went with my heart and not my mind and voted yes. I just feel that with the pressure to expectation of a play off run being off and the young guys being able to play loose can only help. I also think Wash can help fix some of the defensive blunders from years past so I say yes just at or over 500.

I agree because they were not winning so people dont come look at the the Patriots in football back before Tom Brady very very few people were Patriot fans out side of their area when they started winning all the sudden everyone was a Patriot fan and of course claimed to have been for years lol people follow winners

Arte basicaly said MY TEAM MY MONEY I CAN AND WILL DO AS I WISH. Fans will be fans of the team and will support the team. Sure Ohtani fans will follow him to the dogs but true red Angels fans will support no matter what. We will bitch moan gron and cry about it sucking but in the end we will watch on tv, in person, or the highlights to see what our team is doing. Arte knows this is how it will be wether he spends 140 million on payroll or 210 million if they win people will come if they dont well they wont no matter the payroll size.
